What is AIS?
AIS — Automatic Identification System — is the global standard for vessel tracking. Ships broadcast their position, speed, and identity every few seconds. MastChain collects this data through a decentralised network of ground-based receivers.
What is a DePIN network?
DePIN stands for Decentralised Physical Infrastructure Network. Instead of a single company running all the hardware, independent contributors operate nodes and share in the network's value. MastChain applies this model to maritime data collection.
