3. Nature of the MAST Token
The MAST token is designed as a functional utility token. It has the following purposes inside the Mastchain system:
Reward mechanism for AIS data contributors Contributors may receive MAST tokens as recognition for providing validated AIS messages that support the reliability and accuracy of the network.
Service fee inside the Mastchain platform Certain platform functions may require payment in MAST to discourage network spam, ensure efficient operation, and maintain fair system access.
Participation, staking, and security mechanism MAST may be used by contributors to lock value inside the system in order to access contributor functions, ensure honest participation, and prevent malicious actors from exploiting the network.
No monetary value is offered by the project Mastchain as a project does not assign monetary value to the token, does not guarantee future value, and does not promise profits or returns. The token is not sold on this website. Any secondary market activity that may emerge is outside the control of Worldwide AIS Network.
The MAST token does not represent equity, ownership, voting rights, revenue rights, or profit rights in Worldwide AIS Network or in the Mastchain project. It is not designed to constitute a security, financial instrument, deposit, e money, or a regulated investment product.
