This Cookies Policy explains how Worldwide AIS Network ApS, a company registered in Denmark under CVR number 45911748 ("MastChain", "we", "us", or "our"), uses cookies and similar technologies on the MastChain website (the "Site"), the legal bases on which we do so, and how you can manage your preferences. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we process personal data more generally. Any personal data collected through cookies is processed in accordance with that Policy.
1. What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device when you visit it. They are widely used to make websites work, to make them work more efficiently, and to provide information to the operators of the site. We also use similar technologies that perform comparable functions, including:
- Local and session storage, which store information in your browser.
- Pixels and tags, which are small pieces of code used to record activity such as whether a page or message has been opened.
- Software libraries and similar identifiers, which may store information on your device.
In this Policy we refer to all of these technologies as "cookies".
2. Categories of cookies
Cookies may be session cookies, which are deleted when you close your browser, or persistent cookies, which remain until they expire or you delete them. They may be first-party cookies, set by us, or third-party cookies, set by a provider acting on our behalf. We use the following categories.
| Category | Purpose | Consent |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Required for the Site to function, including security, network management, load balancing, and remembering your cookie choices. | Not required |
| Functional | Remember choices you make to improve your experience, such as dismissing a notice or retaining display preferences. | Required |
| Performance and analytics | Help us understand, in aggregate, how visitors find and use the Site so that we can measure and improve it. | Required |
We do not use cookies for advertising or cross-site behavioural tracking, and we do not sell information gathered through cookies.
3. Legal basis for using cookies
We place strictly necessary cookies on the basis of our legitimate interests in providing a secure and functioning Site. For all other cookies, we rely on your consent, which we obtain through our cookie banner or preference tool before such cookies are set, in accordance with the Danish rules implementing the ePrivacy Directive and with the GDPR. You can withdraw or change your consent at any time, as described below.
4. Third-party cookies
Some cookies may be set by third parties that provide services to us, such as analytics, content delivery, and security providers. These third parties may process information in accordance with their own privacy and cookie notices, over which we have limited control. We encourage you to review the notices of any third-party providers whose cookies are set through the Site.
The analytics providers we currently use are:
| Provider | Purpose | Consent |
|---|---|---|
| PostHog (EU hosting) | Product analytics: page views, interactions with the Site, and, with your consent, session replays with typed input masked. | Required. Without consent we count page views only, without cookies and without building any profile of you. |
| Google Tag Manager / Google Analytics | Aggregate measurement of how visitors find and use the Site, and marketing attribution. | Required. Disabled until you accept analytics cookies. |
5. Managing your preferences
Where a consent or preference tool is provided on the Site, you can use it to accept or reject non-essential cookies and to change your choices at any time. Your selection is recorded so that we can respect it on future visits, although clearing your cookies will remove that record and you may be asked again.
6. Controlling cookies through your browser
Most browsers allow you to refuse or delete cookies through their settings. The methods differ between browsers, and you should consult the help function of your browser for instructions. You can usually find these controls in the "Settings", "Preferences", or "Privacy" menu of browsers such as Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, and Apple Safari. Please note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent parts of the Site from working correctly.
7. Do Not Track
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" signal. There is no common industry standard for how such signals should be interpreted. We currently respond to them only to the extent that our cookie consent tool allows you to control non-essential cookies.
8. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Cookies Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We will post the updated Policy on this page and revise the date shown at the top.
9. Contact us
If you have any question about our use of cookies, please contact us at privacy@mastchain.io, or write to Worldwide AIS Network ApS, Copenhagen, Denmark.
